924 Track Day/Sprint Modifications
Hi
Just joined the forum although I've owned the car for a couple of years
Hope you may be help with this request
I'm looking to make some gradual mods to my 2.0l A reg 924 to take it from a road car to track day/possible sprint use
Can anyone recommend an individual or garage in the North West to carry out this kind of work at a reasonable price?

Try Lodge Service Station Ltd Gorton Manchester, they are a VW/Porsche specialist and deal in 924's, they have serviced and MOT'd mine for last few years and have given tips/hints on how to improve performance.
Call Mick on 0161 370 3014, he's a great lad.

Not in the NW so can't help there, shame you aren't in the NE, Tom Ferguson who was a Porsche works mechanic in the 70's has a Porsche specialist garage run by him and his sons in Gateshead.
Welcome along, hope you stick around to post progress of the conversion

Is that part of Ernie Cheethams outfit? ALA Lodge Sports?
Welcome along John. As said above, hope you keep us up to speed with your progress.

Re: 924 Track Day/Sprint Modifications
I'll get some pics posted in the next week
The car has been SORN'd and is about to go back on the road on Mon
I've had it for a couple of years now and bought it with the original intention of stripping it back for sprint use
However, the car was in pretty good shape so it seemed a shame to take it too far away from its road going form
Hence the thought to do some track/sprint mods to improve performance without making these too extreme
Thanks for your welcome posts

I think they used to use the garage next to Lodge Service Station about 2 years ago but have moved on, hence Mick at the garage has a lot of knowledge of modifying 924's.
