yet another newbie

Post by andyvizzard on Sun 28 Nov 2010, 13:27

Hi all, i am not much of a car man, more into my bikes which i happily build crash and re-build inc engines. Been looking for a trackday car for a while and decided on a 924, had not planned on getting one yet though but a combination of cider and ebay have come into play and here i am !
I have not picked it up yet and hopefully the listing is correct in that it only has a few faults, wheel bearing, fuel/temp gauge and minor oil leak.
I am bound to need some advice, especially on what to fit and where to get it.
Many thanks in advance
Andy

Welcome. They're all slightly mad around here, but if anyone asks, I didn't tell you that.

Welcome Andy! Very Happy

Nothing that sounds too scary there. Let us all know when you pick it up and don't forget your camera! Which model did you go for? An 2 litre N/A, turbo or S?

Sounds like you got into Porsche ownership the same way that most of us did!! Laughing

Ask away once you have it, more than enough people here who have done the same (me included)

as Tux has mentioned which model have you bought?

You're overlooking the fact that some of us loonies herein suffer from Dissociative Identity Disorder and as a consequence have both sane and insane personas. Therefore the total number of members on the board is, in fact, greater than 100% of the membership. Smile

Simple, really.
