monkey mate,my daily drive for the last 4 years is a 316i compact,it does 35mpg with a bit of care or 125mph thrashed to death and on 145k miles.has never let me down only starter motor went at 125k,and i put all new sport shocks on it for nice cornering and goes round great....as a matter of fact some race schools use old compacts to teach new drivers because of their good handling.......they also use mx5´s and ive got one of them as well ...lol. Very Happy im sure youll enjoy your beemer.

Well, im very chuffed - BMW went into the garage yesterday for 2 new rear tyres and a full service, had it chked out and the only major things that casme back is the cv boot on the rear and the handbrake sticking - will do the handbrake myself as it just needs wd40 to free it but will them to do the boot

The fronty went on ebay ay 1800 on sat night - at 18:45, had a call to ask about it and the phones not stopped ringing since then - its up to 113 quid at the moment but 23 people watching it and a bloke is on way over tonight with 400 quid, if he says no then ill leave it on flea bay

Wished a got it up together now and could of got 800 but im not greedy considering i got the bm for free

BMW went into garage on wednesday for a new water pump which was going to cost £103
ended up costing £370 as it needed all the pulley replacing - lucky no cambelt so didnt take out the engine
never seemed to run quite right from day one and it had a ticking noise aswell

got it back today and boy! what a difference - no ticking, idles properly, smooth as silk when driving and fuel economy has improved - feels like a new car to drive

well happy Cool

Great news that its sorted. Cool the fact that it cost over three times as much, not so good. No
