Mallory test day

Post by phil993 on Mon 11 Jul 2011, 22:20

Will be racing at Mallory August Bank Holiday so I did a test day to learn the circuit that I haven't driven for years. The modsports boys were there with some unbelieveable period cars but I was in general session that had almost nobody else on track. Will be with the CSCC Future Classics series together with 2 or 3 other 924's that have jioined since last year. We would be delighted to see any 924 guys in the paddock if anyone can make it.

Clip here recorded on my new in car video gear.

Hi Guys - going good this year. Enjoying having a couple more 924's to play with. The only one I can't beat is guest driven by Dave Coyne ex formula ford and formula 3 champ driver which just shows the best way to improve your lap times is to learn to drive properly! I managed to win the 2 litre class at Snet last October!

You should try to get to Mallory if only for the modsports racing is going to be GREAT. Ex Gerry Marshall's Big Bertha will be out amongst others..

Crikey! Your actual Big Bertha! Never seen that in the "flesh" before. Just need Old Nail for the set. Absolutely love those old DTV cars.

Look at the piggin' size of it! You don't get many of them to the pound! Proper car. Cool

Wish I hadn't bothered. The circuit is a building site with no access to Gerrards. Typical BARC incompetence. Why in Gods name would you do that mid-season? The BARC really are the most useless bunch of cocks going. I feel a "Mr. Angry" letter to the chairman coming on and possibly resignation of membership.

At least it's not raining! But you can only reach 1/2 the circuit in a 4 x4
