Shows 2012

Post by saturn800 on Thu 29 Sep 2011, 16:27

Hi Guys Although I have renewed my membership for the next 12 months I feel unable to arrange any shows for next year, mainly because they were not supported as well as they have been in the past, I do understand that as we have mainly used Transtar events we have all seen most of the vehicles time and again and it can be boring. I hope whoever takes over the events organising can bring something new to the role. sunny sunny sunny

Sorry to hear you won't be doing it any more, Dave. Whilst I have only managed to make it to two events during my first year of membership, I enjoyed them both and would like to say "thank you" to you for arranging them.

I hope they continue and that I manage to attend more next year.

Trip across europe (including the porsche museum, and all "must drive before you die" roads on the way / within a 300 mile radius) finishing at Le mans classic 2012 !! Gets my vote anyway...

I know I've been out of the loop a lot this year, but I know how much work does go into arranging club meets, and I want to add my thanks to all the work Dave has done over the years putting things together for everyone.

Big boots to fill for whoever takes over, but I'm sure we'll keep going, and I'm hoping that next won't be as tight as this one has been and that I'll have another car by then and the time/money to make at least 1 meeting!

Andy you'd get my vote for taking over, and I'm sure Dave will be willing to offer you some support in how to arange things

Been advised by Rob to re-read this topic as i sent a message asking if it was ok, sorry to say that i missed the last two replys!

As he said " cant get the staff these days " seems to be true!! Rolling Eyes

Going to do my best to carry on Daves good work and hopefully organise events that will agree with members so we can carry on taking the mick out of each others cars!(mainly mine!) Laughing
