New 924 daily commuter

Hi,

I have an '83 924 that I have used everyday for the commute since June (160 miles a week)
and I'm going to continue through the winter BUT I have had 4 fan belts snap on me and
one melt since I've owned it! Also, my heater fan blower has only worked once briefly since I've owned it.- I love the car though and have had other Porsches in the past 911, 912, 914 and 2 other
924s in my youth- can't believe how old these cars are- mines not far off 30 years old!

My heater fan didn't work, so I sprayed loads of WD40 on it and poked it with kibab sward. It gave a bit of a sqwark and all is fine ThumbsUp

Fan belts snapping is most likely the top alternator mount that is goosed. It throws the alt out of line and the belt gets chewed on the edge of the pulley.
Heater as Chris says, is most likely the switch, either gummed up or worn out.
